Phillips 66 Triton 668 Heavy Duty ATF
Phillips 66 Triton 668 Heavy Duty ATF is a high-performance automatic transmission fluid designed for heavy-duty vehicles and equipment that require consistent shifting performance and long-lasting protection. This fluid combines premium base oils with advanced additives to deliver reliable performance across a wide range of operating conditions.
First, this ATF provides excellent friction control. Automatic transmissions depend on precise friction characteristics to ensure smooth shifting and proper clutch engagement. However, inconsistent fluid performance can lead to harsh shifts or slipping. This formulation maintains stable friction properties, which results in smooth and consistent operation.
Additionally, this fluid offers strong oxidation resistance.
High operating temperatures and continuous use can cause conventional fluids to degrade over time. Fortunately, Triton 668 ATF resists oxidation and maintains its performance over extended service intervals.
Another benefit involves wear protection. The fluid forms a protective film that helps reduce friction and prevent wear on gears, clutches, and other transmission components. As a result, transmissions last longer and operate more efficiently.
Furthermore, the fluid performs well in both high and low temperatures.
Cold starts require good fluid flow, while high temperatures demand stability. This ATF handles both conditions effectively.
Because of its durability and performance, Triton 668 Heavy Duty ATF is commonly used in commercial trucks, fleet vehicles, and heavy-duty equipment.
Applications
Heavy-duty automatic transmissions in trucks and buses in extended drain or severe service, such as in intracity transit buses, intercity tour coaches, school buses, emergency vehicles, recreational vehicles, refuse vehicles and commercial utility vehicles
